Having completed a Bachelor’s degree in pure sciences ending with an experience in biotechnology, Samuel turned around and completely changed his field. Keen on creativity, he then chose architecture, which allowed him to combine two of his passions: science and design. He then completed his studies at the Cégep du Vieux Montréal in Architectural Technology in 2021 and joined the Blouin Tardif Architectes team. Since then, he has worked mainly in the repair and renovation of buildings, aspects of architecture that stimulate him by the technical challenges they present.

“I was particularly fond of working on the project to renovate the envelope of the office building where the Sandoz company is located in Boucherville. This project relating to a building housing a pharmaceutical company represented a great technical challenge: water infiltrations were detected both in the roof and in the vertical envelope of the building. However, providing a solution that makes it possible to combine a sustainable proposal with a sequence of work that maximizes the effectiveness of interventions represents the kind of complex challenge that excites me. From the surveys of the existing conditions to the development of plans and details, this project, which represents one of my first projects at Blouin Tardif Architectes, allowed me to work in several spheres of a renovation project.”
