MATHIAS KROBATH

ARCHITECTURAL TECHNOLOGIST

Graduated in 2021 from the Cégep du Vieux Montréal in architectural technology, Mathias has a very technical vision of architecture and likes to solve the puzzles that projects present. He joined the Blouin Tardif Architectes team as a technical architecture intern before the end of his college career and after obtaining his DEC. While working within the firm, Mathias is currently continuing his academic journey at the École de Technologie Supérieure where he is pursuing his Bachelor’s degree in construction engineering, from where he hopes to obtain the title of engineer with specialization in building envelope.

” Ironically, the École de Technologie Supérieur is the main client of the projects I work on; and my favorite project to work on right now is a lab design project. This involves the construction of an enclosure to contain a laboratory for a hyper-sensitive microscope. Soundproofing, vibration and thermal control are very important factors to control and these require special attention with regard to the coordination between the various professionals and the elaboration of technical details. “
