JEAN TARDIF

ASSOCIATE ARCHITECT | OAQ, OAA, RAIC, PA LEED

Jean graduated from Laval University in philosophy and architecture in 1998. He is co-founder of Blouin Tardif Architects and holds the positions of design director and project director. Early in his career, he recognized the need to apply the principles of sustainable development to architecture. He was one of the first architects to receive the LEED professional accreditation in 2004 and was involved in the design and certification of the first industrial and commercial buildings. In all, under his supervision, the firm will help its clients receive more than 60 of these certifications.

Versatile, he assimilated the advantages of integrated design very early on and thus favored a multidisciplinary approach in architectural production and the pursuit of high-performance and sustainable solutions. As a designer, he applies himself to interpreting the client’s needs in a creative and efficient manner; as a director, he strives to motivate project teams and to bring out the best solution to a given problem. Over the years, he developed lasting relationships with many commercial and institutional clients, including government organizations, institutions of higher learning, banking institutions, pharmaceutical companies, crown corporations, and commercial and residential developers.
